Growing with AI: where do you start as a business owner?

Plenty of business owners have built something good and can see what AI and tech could do, but not how to put them to work. Others are already trying things, and none of it really pays off. On 17 November 2026 a small group talks it through at StartDock on the Singel in Amsterdam. Emmo Elshof, co-founder of Backstage IT, invites business owners to this Rubicon evening.

An earlier Backstage IT evening in Moldova: people at long tables in a restaurant with wooden beams, brick walls and hanging lanterns, while a man stands between the tables addressing the room.

What happens on the evening?

There are no speakers, no presentations and no networking drinks. Emmo guides the conversation together with a Rubicon facilitator and brings more than 17 years of experience in tech himself. Each participant brings a question of their own or helps think through someone else’s, and together the group digs deep.

I'd like to invite you to an informal, in-depth conversation with a small group of business owners. Just an honest conversation about what's going on.

What do participants get out of it?

  • Better decisions
A question that others look at critically leads to a better call than mulling it over alone.
  • People who get it
Around the table sit business owners who know this stage.
  • New perspectives
Ideas from others that you wouldn’t have come up with yourself.
